I'm more than willing to give this a shot. I've been thinking of doing something as an editor/writer for a while, and this might be a decent chance at me, if you'd like my help. Other than that, I'll do my best to help revive TGP. I'm quite good at being a bossy asshole.

Edit: Let me elaborate on the writer thing. I used to write for a small "lol funny intarwebz site", in a column I called 'In The Static". We didn't get much success with it, but what we did get was a lot of negative feedback, which I used to, with no success, sue everyone for slander. 'twas fun. I didn't even get it through my lawyer, he just laughed at me. I then told him I'd sue HIM for slander, and he said, "You can't sue me for something I didn't do, and even if you did, who'd be your lawyer?", to which I replied, "You shall be my lawyer, and you will win this case, I tell you. Win it! Wiiiiin iiiit!"*

"in the static is all about just that. It’s everything about nothing. But it’s mostly a lot about strange things." was the motto/slogan/thing, and for what it's worth, we could try something along the lines of that. Or whatever you guys had in mind. In any case, I'd love to write for you guys.

*I never tried to sue my lawyer.

Ok, honestly we need to start with a purge of all the old shit, archive it or if that's not possible let go entirely. We can promote this board as a Gaming/General Interest board and then spam the fuck out of it on top 100 websites or whatever.

How shall I purge?

Move move all forums to a closed and unviewable category?

Move all threads to a closed and unviewable forum?

Or should I just remove every thread/post?

Gimme some kinda purge method, and I'll do it.

Also give me a new forum layout and I'll do that at the same time.

LIke you guys, I'm through with waiting, it's time to act.
You cannot fathom the immensity of the fuck I do not give.

I'm pretty sure all but the most recent threads can go right to hell.

Justin was going to remove a load, but his internet is gone for the time being.

My suggestion as an experienced forum admin (even though it may mean little as I am still an extreme newb here): Make archive forums for all categories (remain viewable), move all threads to the equivalent archive forum, and let members to "report threads" to keep and have them moved back to the non-archive forum.

Then after a set time frame you can make the archive area private to members so incase later on down the road somebody goes "remember that thread about...." you can still restore it (plus it wouldn't hurt to keep the thread/forum count in the statistics up ;)).
