If you read the shoutbox yesterday, I mentioned I was performing a test upgrade.

All of that went well, so I did the actual upgrade today.

I ran into a few complications, but none were to serious. Those issues were due to either my own stupidity, or one of the other admins.

Anyway, here's a list of the new stuff.

1. New Look

If you haven't noticed yet, you're blind.

We have a new look. And you can decide either between a White and Light Blue theme, or a Black and Goldish theme.

2. Asset Manager

This is my favorite part.

All of your attachments and album pictures have been combined into one system called "Assets." This new system allows you to re-use any Asset you upload in any post, album, or group.

Try it out, it's awesome.

3. Sidebar

Kinda like the Recent Threads, Posts, etc. on the old forum. Except it's now on the side and displays Recent Threads, Recent Posts, Recent Group Discussions, and the Tag Cloud (start tagging threads so this thing can fill up).

4. Friendly URL's

Kinda obvious, but instead of URL's looking like this: showthread.php?t=123

They now look like this: /threads/123-Thread-Name-Here

Forums: /forums/123-Forum-Name

Member Profiles: /members/123-Member-Name

There's more but I have to pee, so just look around.

Oh yeah, I should mention that I moved the forums from http://www.theglassprison.info/forums/ to http://www.theglassprison.info/ due to the Friendly URL's.

Update your bookmarks and spread the word.
