So, today instead of going out and enjoying a beautiful Saturday, I sat inside and worked on upgrading TGP.

Here's a list of new stuff.

1. No doubt you've already noticed the new skin. Personally, I thought this one was better than the last one. There are a few kinks (the navigation trail, for example) that need worked out but otherwise I really like it, and hope you guys do too.

2. Facebook Connect. Current members can link their accounts to Facebook, which will allow you to pull your display picture over there and set it as your avatar here. New members can join our forums easier by simply clicking the button and it'll automatically create a new account for them based on their Facebook Information. New users can join without us pulling their information by simply removing it from the form when registering.

To link your accounts, or join via Facebook, simply click the blue Connect button at the top, under the sub navigation.

3. Blogs. TGP finally has the Blog functionality that is in use at FFCC. The only difference is the updated interface.

4. Points System. TGP now has the same points system as FFCC. It's use hasn't been determined yet, so TGP is more-or-less my guinea pig for the vBulletin 4 version of this mod.

5. Project Tracker. We now have a tracker that will allow us to determine and organize what needs to be done around here to fix up TGP.

6. Lack of Shoutbox. That fucking thing pissed me off. So I killed it. New one to come in due time.

7. Still lack of a main website. The functionality to build a main website is present, but disabled. The staff need to determine what kind of content needs to be added.

That's all I can think of right now, so enjoy the new look and if there are any issues report them in the Tracker as a Bug and I'll look into it.

I kinda liked the old skin better, but that's just me.

I'll see what I can do. The old skin isn't compatible with this version and all it's extra features.

I'm up for adding content to the front page, I've been thinking of setting up a site to review games but writing for the front page here would be good too.

That's what I was thinking as well. I'll probably enable the CMS later this week so we can start messing around with it.
